The School of Kingdom Life (formerly Gateway School of the Supernatural or GSS) is a Holy Spirit centered ministry, hosted at Gateway Family Church, that provides an environment where we passionately pursue the Presence of God and learn how to live a supernatural kingdom lifestyle. We are a family of followers committed to discovering and living out our new creation reality in Christ through the power of the Spirit in us. In community we will learn and engage the presence and power of the Spirit together, discovering God’s love for us and for those around us.
We will create an atmosphere where students are trained and equipped to walk in their identity, gifting and purpose. Wherever you are on your journey with God we want to champion the fullness of His presence in and through you. Our students will learn to take risks, be bold and stretch their faith as they grow in their understanding of God! We desire that every student learns how to release the power of God’s kingdom everywhere they go.
From start to finish we’ll have an intentional focus on developing community together in the Spirit. Beginning with our kickoff retreat into times of ministry (on Sundays, at conferences, and outside of class) throughout the year and practicing what we learn in smaller groups, this presence centered approach will carry through worship, teaching and practical application. Teaching from staff and guest speakers will set a foundation for a life empowered by the Spirit rooted in the love of the Father displayed through the finished work of Christ. Through these times together students will be exposed to a broad spectrum of what naturally supernatural Kingdom living looks like. Past speakers have included Dr. Randy Clark, Ed Rocha, Blaine Cook, Kim Maas, Justin Allen, Chris Frost, Kayle Mumby, TJ Green, Sammy Robinson, Jon Laframboise, Amanda Cook, Chris Cruz, Dr. Tom Jones, Lyle Phillips, Matt Tapley, Mike Love, and Paul Fraser.
Opportunities for a missions trip have been available to interested students in years past. Through which students have developed deeper community, saturated themselves in a different culture and spiritual environment, and ministered to others in full time ministry to encourage them in what God is doing.
In addition to the above, students will have assigned readings and will be required to attend at least one Sunday per month at Gateway.
Throughout the school year students will learn from six foundational areas
God is GoodTo what extent is God good? How far does His goodness go? How do we interact with His goodness? Exploring the unfathomable love of God through the life of Jesus.
The Finished Work of ChristFollowing the thread of God's promise through creation, from the incarnation, death, resurrection, ascension and into the present, revealing God's great redemptive plan.
I’m Included in ChristEngaging what it means to be grafted into the Vine. What is true of Christ is true of me.
I Have a New NormalIn Christ we are naturally supernatural. As new creations, our new normal is to look like Jesus in every way. This school will equip you to embody the love of Christ by prophesying, speaking words of knowledge, healing the sick, and seeing the oppressed made free.
I Live in New Covenant CommunityWe are now part of His family, brought together and empowered by His Spirit, embodying His love for one another.
Life Giving TheologyA fresh look at theology that makes us fall in love with God over and over again. A love that produces good fruit and enables us to walk in intimacy with Him.
